Hollywood. Summer, 2022. I know its scars and secrets. It’s a wounded lover—arrogant, deceptive, seductive, unwittingly hurt—but it’s mine.

Hollywood has an energy and a warmth to it that only people who genuinely love it feel. You can’t know it unless you love it first. Hollywood is like that.

And despite the seduction, it can kill you as well. The rose has its thorns. You get too cozy with your lover and she’ll stab you in the back. She’ll sell your soul—in a heartbeat, if the price is right.

There’s something Luciferian about the seduction.

My rock song is for all Americans everywhere that have been seduced, that have ever wondered what it all means, both for them and their lovers. Was it worth it? We may never know.

After all, we may only be dead ghosts, waiting for the royalty checks to come in decades past our expiration date.
